"The technotronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values ... The capacity to assert social and political control over the individual will vastly increase ... Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen." — Zbigniew K. Brzezinski, former U.S. National Security Adviser, Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era (New York, NY: Viking Press, 1970).
"It was designed to force these people ... to turn to the state to ask for greater security. This is the political logic that lies behind all [state-sponsored aggressions] which remain unpunished, because the state cannot convict itself or declare itself responsible for what happened." — Paul Joseph Watson, 10 Conspiracy Theories That Came True: When questioning the official narrative proved crucial, August 27, 2014, concerning Operation Gladio, the collaborative effort of the CIA and British MI6 to create through NATO a covert terror network in Europe in order to frighten the populace into voting for authoritarian governments.
America the Battlefield
by Timothy A. Pope
For quite some time I have been contemplating what went down in Ferguson, Missouri, waiting until the media storm fanning the flames of crisis died down, and weighing how to put my thoughts into words coherently.
Ockham's Razor, the ancient Latin principle of problem-solving, states that among competing hypotheses—in the absence of certainty—the one with the fewest assumptions should be adopted. The fewer assumptions that are made, the better.
This principle was the progenitor of the modern-day "common sense test" that grandma taught you, the capacity for critical analysis and cognitive reasoning, which have been swindled from the current generation by the deliberate dumbing-down of America.
With that said, the scientific method compels us to follow the facts where they lead, to adopt the theory which has the most proof, and to discard theories which are contradicted by the facts. This ability to connect the dots used to be inherent for the average American. Putting the puzzle pieces together to form the bigger picture was once lauded as an indispensable step toward the recognition of the truth. Asking questions and challenging hypotheses for a deeper and more credible understanding was once encouraged.
However, the scope of the revelations that keep progressively being unveiled to the public consciousness are sowing the seeds of confusion and disorientation. The "big picture" has become elusive and incomprehensible to the average person.
The law in the United States has been twisted and undermined to the point of being unrecognizable from its original Magna Carta/Common Law foundation. And it has been done predominantly by the very institutions charged with preserving it. Today, instead of being a shield to defend our Creator-endowed constitutionally-protected rights, the law has been turned into a sword to subjugate the People.
It was done in Rome. It was done in the Ottoman Empire, Germany, the Soviet Union, and it is now being done here in the USSA. All of this preparation and roll out—all of this Sovietization of American life—is merely a preview of America's burgeoning police state.
The central theme of the agenda being fomented by the mainstream press is psychological trauma-based mind control. "BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID!!!" Don't focus on the root of the problem. Focus only on the fruit. Focus only on the thesis, and react accordingly! Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. Address only the Wizard.
But you see, there is a silver lining. This is the story of hubris, what the Greeks called "false pride." It is the story of a tendentious administrative bureaucracy putting all of its eggs into one basket—the basket of assurance—a perceived guarantor of a future aristocracy. And it is the story of how it is all backfiring.
Why? Because We the People are becoming aware.
And now, the longueur of the back-story, as a necessary chronology to give validity to the narrative.
CIVIL DISTURBANCE OPERATIONS
The initial reason I began to write in the first place was Domestic Civil Disturbance Operations. It was the catalyst which compelled me to analyze and disseminate as much information as I could regarding the build-up of a militarized police state apparatus on American soil, as the answer to domestic terrorism.
Civil Disturbance Operations (FM 3-19.15) Headquarters, Department of the Army, April 2005
I posted my very first blog almost two years ago on July 10, 2012, where I explained how a leaked U.S. Army Military Police training manual for Civil Disturbance Operations (FM 3-19.15) outlined how military assets are to be employed domestically to quell riots, confiscate firearms and even kill American citizens during civil unrest.
The 115-page manual, issued in 2006, represented at that time a shocking new insight into how the U.S. military plans to violently quell unrest in the aftermath of a total economic collapse or other national emergencies, with rules of engagement regarding the use of "deadly force" in confronting "dissidents," which were made disturbingly clear with the directive that a "warning shot will not be fired."
Also, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA for fiscal year 2012), with its so-called "Homeland Battlefield" provisions, and the likes of President Barack Hussein Obama, Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH); National Security Correspondent for The Nation, Jeremy Scahill; and other prominent politicians, lawmakers and media personalities declaring that "America is now part of the battlefield," gave structure to not only the name of this blog, but also its direction and mission.
Here is a compelling video by Storm Clouds Gathering that explains the NDAA in 3 minutes. Keep in mind that the NDAA had overwhelming bipartisan support, and very few of our so-called "representatives" voted against it. One might argue that they must not have read the provisions in the Act granting the president unlimited dictatorial power to arrest and indefinitely detain any American citizen without due process, charge or trial. You may say that they must not have read where any American citizen suspected of—but not charged with—a crime, can be subjected to Gitmo-style extreme rendition. That is torture, folks, to extract a confession.
If you think that all of these people meant well by signing the NDAA into law, "for our safety," then you are still living in fantasy land.
Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the NDAA's biggest supporters, is a former JAG Corps officer. He knows better. But he did it anyway. This is the guy who said in the New York Times:
"And when they say, 'I want my lawyer,' you tell them, 'Shut up. You don’t get a lawyer.'"
The Sixth Amendment to the Constitution states that the "accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial" in all criminal prosecutions. Even Lindsay Graham will enjoy a speedy and public trial by a jury of his peers at his treason trial, in accordance with the Supreme Law of the Land. That's how it works here in America. At least that's how it is supposed to work.
Graham is not the only traitor to the People. In April of this year, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the provision allowing American citizens to be placed in military detention indefinitely. And in May, the Congress reaffirmed the indefinite detention provisions under the NDAA.
Still think they're on our side? No, they have sold us all down the river.
Considering this foundation that is being laid as we come full circle, and considering the incremental planning, funding, procurement, training and implementation of a full-scale police state martial law scenario beginning to go hot in the streets of America, a new document has emerged that goes even further than FM 3-19.15 and the NDAA.
U.S. Army Techniques Publication 3-39.33: Civil Disturbances, Headquarters, Department of the Army, April 2014
It is called U.S. Army Techniques Publication 3-39.33: Civil Disturbances, a 132-page manual printed in April of 2014 by Headquarters, Department of the Army, which calls for the use of lethal force against peaceful protesters. Dave Hodges of The Common Sense Show determined in his August 18th article on this subject that ATP 3-39.33 "promises to change the way the 'authorities' deal with protesters, even peaceful ones. The consequences of ATP 3-39.33 could prove deadly for protesters. Further, the provisions of this Army manual could prove to be the end of the First Amendment right to peaceably assemble."
The online publication of this particular document by the international collaborative research group, Public Intelligence, gives soldiers detailed preparations to deal with full-scale riots in the United States. The document provides troops with the rules of engagement in domestic military operations to cope with unruly crowds, which are to be applied within the continental United States (CONUS) in the event of violent political activism where it is necessary to quell riots and restore public order.
The most chilling aspect of this Army document is the detailed instruction plus the diagrams explaining when troops can deploy a lethal response against unarmed citizens, including sniper responses and small arms directed fire.
The instruction for U.S. Army snipers is to ensure that target leaders or trouble-makers are targeted; to exploit the full psychological effect of an attack.
If you recall the warning relayed last month by V the Guerrilla Economist of RogueMoney.net, to whom a U.S. military 4-star general told him that he suddenly retired and left the United States with his family, and moved to South America. According to V, the general felt constrained to relocate after seeing classified documents about the planned dismantling of the United States between 2015 and 2017. In the warning, the general said that the resistance to the takeover will be "decapitated," and that snipers would take out the wives and children of the resistance leaders to break the back of the resistance movement. That claim is verified (and codified) by the Army's Civil Disturbances document.
WAR-GAMING IN AMERICAN CITIES
The identification and circulation of this newest document for civil disturbances comes on the heels of the special operations forces urban training exercise in the twin cities of Minneapolis–St. Paul, Minnesota, two weeks ago.
Low-flying Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters flying urban warfare simulations over the Minneapolis–St. Paul region were unannounced, even though Minneapolis police said the training was "months in the making," and it caught many residents off-guard and unawares.
U.S. Army 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) "Night Stalkers"
According to the Minneapolis CBS affiliate WCCO's article, Black Helicopters Over Twin Cities Have Some Asking Questions: "The Department of Defense is in charge of the operation while Minneapolis and St. Paul police are playing a supportive role. But none of the departments will comment on the mysterious mission, only apologizing for 'any alarm or inconvenience the training may cause,' according to statement by Minneapolis police."
The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR), based at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, conducted highly classified military operations over the Minneapolis urban area at night. The special operations forces flew Black Hawks known as "Night Stalkers," buzzing rooftops and zooming among the cities' tall downtown buildings. Here's the video.
The U.S. Army refused to comment on the purpose of the unusual exercise. Some residents were very upset. St. Paul City Council member Chris Tolbert told the local CBS television affiliate WCCO:
"I think it’s outrageous. We’re going to have Black Hawks flying at a low level over a densely populated urban area without any notice at all? I had helicopters shaking my house at 11:57 last night. They were right over the trees."
Tolbert's sentiments were echoed by city council member Dave Thune, who slammed the drills as "incredibly unsafe." Thune went on:
“When you’ve got Black Hawk helicopters flying between buildings full of people in the middle of the night, it’s just not safe . . . It’s absolutely wrong for us as a civilian police department to engage in military exercises. It shouldn’t happen here."
The same TV station reported that the Department of Defense will not comment on the mysterious mission. According to the Night Stalkers mission statement, secrecy is the name of the game and their way of life. The Night Stalkers creed is:
"To guard my unit’s mission with secrecy, for my only true ally is the night and the element of surprise."
According to Rev. Gordon C. Stewart of MinnPost, the Blackhawks in Minneapolis "must be stopped."
"This week the helicopters that were sent off to Iraq and Afghanistan to protect us here at home were flying around downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. The Blackhawk helicopters were here on 'urban training exercises' rattling the windows of residents’ condos, homes and apartments right here at home in Minnesota. Why were they here? When did a city of civilians become the training grounds for the U.S. Army, and why has there not been a louder outcry against the intrusive presence of the military into what we have now come to call 'the Homeland'? Perhaps because we believe it makes us 'safer,' but citizen preoccupation with security is the spawning ground for national security states."
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that the night-time exercises included tactical scenarios of "familiarization flights to help pilots become accustomed to key landmarks." Why become accustomed to key landmarks within a major U.S. city, if they aren't going to be conducting real-world missions? If you know anything about the military, you know that training exercises are not conducted and the money is not spent without the intent to effectively implement the training in the battlefield.
According to the Twin Cities Pioneer Press, the cities invited them, and "They'll be back."
The Minneapolis–St. Paul urban warfare training exercises are not the first of their kind. Back in May of 2014, U.S. Special Forces and commandos from 16 foreign nations practiced "invading" Tampa Bay, Florida, during an unprecedented international training exercise.
Conducted outside the Tampa Convention Center, residents looked on as service members from every branch of the U.S. military ran drills alongside foreign commandos from Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Jordan, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland and Thailand. Local newspapers worked hard to relieve worried residents prior to the exercise, assuring them that the sound of gunshots and low-flying military helicopters was only part of a drill.
The Tampa Tribune said on May 13, 2014:
"If you see military helicopters flying over downtown Tampa next Tuesday, it’s not a sign that we are under attack by the Russians, the North Koreans or the New World Order."
Here is the ABC Action News Tampa video coverage of the "fake invasion" by SpecOps.
"This was different. This was a first for me," said one officer, identified only as 'John' for security reasons. "Usually no one sees what we do."
The militarization of our towns and cities is reaching a tipping point. On August 21st of this year, reporter Mort Amsel posted on Before Its News that the militarization of police in the United States is reaching new levels.
Brevard, Florida Police purchase record for eight Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow heavy attack gunships
Police in Brevard, Florida, purchased eight Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow heavy attack gunships [image below right]. That’s enough to defend (or invade) a small country.
Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow
Amsel asked the question, "What are the civilian police supposed to do with that kind of equipment, shoot graffiti? With hundreds of Hellfire anti-tank missiles and 30-millimeter autocannons? Of all the military equipment police havethese days in ole’ Americana, this is the most insane. At least until some police dept. in some podunk Iowa town decides they want an M1A1 Abrams [Main Battle Tank] anyways . . . I ask you this, why do they need this?"

FURTHER INCREMENTAL MILITARIZATION
It could be reasonably argued through facts and figures that the inception of the modern police state measures began with the deceptively-named USA Patriot Act (H.R. 3162). It could also be argued that the Patriot Act, which eviscerated the Constitution, would never have been passed if it wasn't for the catalyzing events of September 11, 2001. The legislation was written many weeks and months prior to the 9/11 attacks, but its architects were waiting for the right major crisis to manifest in order to pass it into law unceremoniously with bipartisan support, its voters still reeling with emotion from the terror that had just befallen our nation.
In the words of President Barack Hussein Obama's former White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, who said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal on November 19, 2008:
"You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before."
In contrast, we managed to get all the way through World War II without our government passing all kinds of horrendous unconstitutional and freedom-destroying legislation in 1941 and on. We didn't need it then, and we don't need it now.
Another entity which not only didn't let a crisis go to waste, but wrote about the necessity to engineer one, was the Project for the New American Century. PNAC was an American neo-communist think tank based in Washington, D.C., established in 1997 as a non-profit educational organization founded by William Kristol and Robert Kagan.
The Project for the New American Century's position paper, Rebuilding America's Defenses: Strategies, Forces, and Resources For a New Century, which was released in September of the year 2000—precisely one year before the terrorist attacks of 9/11—advocated the necessity for a catalyzing Pearl Harbor-like incident to mobilize our country into war with Israel's enemies.
Section V of Rebuilding America's Defenses, entitled Creating Tomorrow's Dominant Force, includes the following prophetic utterance:
"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event––like a new Pearl Harbor."
Recall that it was the attack on Pearl Harbor which galvanized our nation to enter the second World War. This PNAC report was described by journalist Neil Mackay of the Scottish Sunday Herald as:
"A blueprint for U.S. world domination―a new world order of their making."
Tam Dalyell, a former British Labour Party politician and member of parliament in the House of Commons, is quoted in Information Clearing House on June 1, 2007, as saying of the PNAC position paper in question:
"These are the thought processes of fanaticist Americans who want to control the world."
Lets bring things up-to-date a bit. There was a video which showed unmarked military gunboats patrolling the canals of Eden Isles, Louisiana in October of 2013. Apparently, residents of the canal zone had never seen this in the area before, and were asking wether this was part of some kind of drill or an attempt to normalize the presence of armed troops patrolling public canals in America.
On Friday, April 19, 2013, during a manhunt for a bombing suspect, police and federal agents spent the day storm-trooping people's homes in Watertown, Massachusetts, performing illegal searches and seizures, and forcibly removing men, women and children from their homes at gunpoint against their will [photo below].
Thousands of law-abiding citizens' unalienable rights were infringed upon—an entire town held under siege, guilty until proven innocent—in the guise of a manhunt for one 19-year-old man suspected of terrorism. Police were filmed ripping people from their homes at the barrel of a gun, marching the families out with their hands raised in submission, and then storming the homes to perform illegal searches. Here are the pictures and videos.
Martial law in Watertown, Massachusetts, April 19, 2013
It should be noted that April 19th is the same day that 76 Branch Davidians were murdered in a fire set by BATFE after a 51-day siege by the FBI at the Mount Carmel Center Ranch near Waco, Texas in 1993. It is also the same day that the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City was bombed, killing 168 and injuring 500, on April 19, 1995. The same two federal government agencies were implicated by empirical evidence proving their involvement in (and cover-up of) both events, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives.
According to the occult calendar, April 19 - May 1 marks the midpoint of the 13-week Spring Equinox. This arcane minor sabbath period requires a blood sacrifice by fire on April 19.
How close did the people of Watertown come?
The so-called "no-knock SWAT raids" on homes for crimes where no person was injured and no property was damaged, are quickly becoming the norm. To clarify, by 1980 there were an average of 3,000 SWAT raids per year, and by 2006 this number had reached 50,000. Military-style police raids have greatly increased in America in recent years, with one count putting the number at 80,000 such raids last year. That is a staggering 1,400% increase.
In a Wall Street Journal article from Aug. 7, 2013, entitled Rise of the Warrior Cop, author Radley Balko asked the question, "Is it time to reconsider the militarization of American policing?" Balko pointed out the burgeoning trend of political leaders who lend support to the emerging militaristic self-image, as New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg did in 2011 by declaring, "I have my own army in the NYPD—the seventh largest army in the world."
Federally-funded Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAPs), the 1033 Program, military pattern training, .50cal rifles, snipers training weapons on unarmed citizens, the allocation of billions of rounds of ammunition, shooting targets depicting children and pregnant mothers, increasingly lethal so-called "non-lethal" weaponry, body armor, and the list goes on and on.
Nothing comes for free, though. There is no such thing as a free lunch, and all of these federally-funded and federally-provided war-making apparati come with them a terrible price tag.
And if We the People want to protect ourselves from being unlawfully attacked with some of this hardware, our so-called "representatives" in the House introduced H.R. 5344 on July 31st, a bill that would "prohibit the purchase, ownership, or possession of enhanced body armor by civilians."
Slaves are not allowed to defend themselves against a tyrannical government.
Let's also not forget about U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Brandon Raub, who was carted off to a psyche ward by the FBI and Secret Service for posting comments on his Facebook page that were not within the acceptable spectrum of political debate.
John Whitehead of The Rutherford Institute, a Virginia-based civil liberties and constitutional studies group, reported to the Huffington Post of this travesty of justice:
"For government officials to not only arrest Brandon Raub for doing nothing more than exercising his First Amendment rights but to actually force him to undergo psychological evaluations and detain him against his will goes against every constitutional principle this country was founded upon."
The intensive militarization of America’s police forces is a serious menace about which a small number of people have been loudly warning for years, with little attention or traction. In a 2007 paper on "the blurring distinctions between the police and military institutions and between war and law enforcement," the criminal justice professor Peter Kraska defined "police militarization" as "the process whereby civilian police increasingly draw from, and pattern themselves around, the tenets of militarism and the military model."
Glenn Greenwald wrote in The Intercept on August 14th:
"The harrowing events . . . in Ferguson, Missouri—the fatal police shooting of an unarmed African-American teenager, Mike Brown, and the blatantly excessive and thuggish response to ensuing community protests from a police force that resembles an occupying army—have shocked the U.S. media class and millions of Americans. But none of this is aberrational.
It is the destructive by-product of several decades of deliberate militarization of American policing, a trend that received a sustained (and ongoing) steroid injection in the form of a still-flowing, post-9/11 federal funding bonanza, all justified in the name of 'homeland security.' This has resulted in a domestic police force that looks, thinks, and acts more like an invading and occupying military than a community-based force to protect the public."
The very latest in domestic militarization of law enforcement is Texas school districts militarizing campuses with weapons, armor and vehicles. Raw Story reports:
"Taking advantage of U.S. Defense Department offers of free or low-cost military hardware, Texas school districts have been helping themselves to high-powered weaponry, bullet-proof vests, and armored vehicles to militarize their campus police officers."
A KHOU investigation shows that ten school districts in the state of Texas have been acquiring the military surplus under a government program that allows them to load up at little to no cost. According to the investigation, the districts have acquired 64 M-16 rifles, 18 M-14 rifles, 25 automatic pistols, extended magazines, and 4,500 rounds of ammunition. Additionally, the schools stocked up on armored plating, tactical vests, as well as 15 surplus military vehicles.
Not everyone is thrilled, however, by the idea of campus police outfitted like SWAT teams. "We don’t necessarily believe that this kind of equipment leads to students feeling more secure and safe in schools," said Brennan Griffin of Texas Appleseed, which has been studying police-on-campus policies for years.
Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk analyzed this story in a video report on September 6th, highlighting the progression of police militarization, and asking if mall cops are next.
When you the reader put this through the "common sense test," what do you think?
LET'S TALK ABOUT FERGUSON
Ferguson residents have been living under a Martial Law system since August 9, 2014.
Ferguson, Missouri, August 10, 2013
A Missouri State Trooper on the ground in Ferguson, MO, reported to John Moore of the John Moore Show that since the second day after the shooting of Michael Brown, on August 10th, there had been direct command-and-control comms between the White House and Missouri Governor Jay Nixon. What this means is that since Barack Hussein Obama has been busy vacationing and playing golf and attending fund-raisers as the world burns, his Iranian senior policy advisor, Valerie "Night Stalker" Jarrett, has been running the operation in Fergosun directly from the White House.
Interesting that Jarrett shares the same nickname as the 160th SOAR. Perhaps she too is "guarding this administration’s mission with secrecy."
Not only that, Dave Hodges of The Common Sense Show reported what his contact in the Department of Homeland Security told him that DHS had deployed agents provocateur on the ground in Ferguson to incite violence and to shoot at both citizens and police. According to the DHS source, a focus group of high level military and political strategists had been using Ferguson as a laboratory, beta-testing martial law techniques, and analyzing what works on the populace. Hodges wrote:
"This source stated that DHS is running the Ferguson Police Department and their actions are designed to antagonize and to provoke the locals to violence. He further stated that he believed that the ultimate goal is to inflame the local citizens to such a point martial law will be declared."
There have been numerous reports that there were infiltrators in many of these protests. A video surfaced in which a man in the Saint Louis area, who was involved in the protests in Missouri, tells viewers that agents provocateur were infiltrating legitimate protests, all for the sake of the government growing its militarized presence in the area.
Reports from on the scene stated that the orders were given from the highest law enforcement command for "hands-off the looters and rioters," but "hands-on the media." Then when things cooled down and the media packed up and left, the police were witnessed going door-to-door in various Ferguson neighborhoods, and entering homes without search warrants.
We saw riot control squads pointing loaded weapons and training laser scope rifle sights on demonstrators who took to the streets. Here's the video.
Then we saw police targeting and attacking journalists. A SWAT team attacked an Al-Jazeera America news crew in Ferguson [video], contradicting the lies from the the St. Charles County Regional SWAT Team, who falsely claimed in an official statement that "the SWAT Team officers were assisting the media in moving their camera equipment and media personnel to a safer area with their consent so that they could continue to cover the event."
In fact, they shot at reporters who identified themselves as press, firing rubber bullets and tear gassing them when they were clearly and openly identified not as combatants, but as journalists. It was all caught on video, and video documentation does not lie. People do.
U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Iraq war and investigative reporter, SSgt. Joe Biggs, was shot multiple times by police with rubber bullets [video], just for asking questions.
Regarding the Ferguson police targeting journalists, understand that once we lose our freedom of speech, everything else is pretty much lost.
Things got so bad with the unlawful tactics of Missouri law enforcement and government agents, that the Missouri Oath Keepers were compelled to write an open letter of ultimatum to Governor Nixon, providing a critical warning that what was happening there was "an assault on the Bill of Rights," and that he was "making a grave mistake by continuing the pattern of militarization and abuse of rights."
The letter reminds the governor of two-time Medal of Honor recipient, Marine Corps General Smedley Butler's admonition that "There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights."
The letter continues:
"The rapidly escalating militarization of America’s police is fundamentally incompatible with our Constitution and incompatible with a free nation, and inevitably leads to violence against We the People and gross violations of our rights, for which so many of our brothers have fought, bled, and died throughout this nation’s history.
For us, this is not about race. This is about defending the Bill of Rights, which is a shield against government abuse that is meant to protect ALL Americans, of whatever color. Those of us who served as Marine or Army infantry learned to see only one color: green. Some of our brothers in our fire-teams and squads were dark green, while others were medium or light green, but they were all our brothers, and in combat, they all bled the same color—red— in defense of this nation and in defense of the Constitution, which each of us swore an oath to defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic. And the same can be said for those constitutional Sheriffs and police officers among us who still know what it means to be a peace officer, not a 'law enforcer.'
The militarization of our police is not a 'black problem.' It’s an American problem, and it affects all of us. Senator Rand Paul is right. We must demilitarize our police. Governor Nixon, you stand at a critical moment in history. You must reverse course and set the example for other states to follow, to demilitarize our police and bring police methods back within the bounds of the Constitution. A failure to do so will further place millions of us American veterans who still take our oaths seriously on a fateful collision course with a burgeoning police state that is going down the same road that other nations have traveled, with tragic ends.
Our grandfathers and fathers fought against totalitarian police states overseas. Please don’t force us to fight against one here at home. Demilitarize the police now, and let us all live in peace under the Constitution, with liberty, and justice, for all."
It was Soviet revolutionary Vladimir Lenin who said, "The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves." That has never been more clear than in recent events like the Occupy Wall Street movement, the assault on Bundy Ranch, and Ferguson, Missouri.
The incident in Ferguson is now being investigated by the feds and, truthfully, even if the shooting is ultimately ruled legitimate and Officer Darren Wilson is exonerated of all wrongdoing, the fact remains that the American public for the most part no longer consider coroners' requests, internal reviews, or any of the mechanisms for police investigations to be transparent or trustworthy.
Most Americans think that internal investigations of police shootings are all cooked-up, rubber-stamped, and doctored to find a way to legalize otherwise unlawful actions and over-reaches by law enforcement.
And even if Officer Wilson is found to have been legitimately in fear for his life, and under the reasonable and lawful conditions to resort to deadly force, we might still have civil unrest no matter what happens. Why? Because in the court of public opinion, when you judge a tree by the fruit it bears as a whole, the people no longer trust our corrupt legal process anymore.
The "Rodney King" verdict of Officer Wilson's fate is expected to be read sometime in October, and the 1992 Los Angeles riots will be like a fond memory compared to the potential unrest in the heartland this time around.
AMERICA UNDER SIEGE
An investigative documentary produced in 1994 by Indianapolis attorney Linda Thompson, called America Under Siege, was the first widely publicized film of its kind―offered at that time on VHS tape through Thompson's American Justice Federation. The documentary featured video footage of government black sites, unmarked helicopters, documentation confirming the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) assuming control under the Continuity of Government program, establishing concentration camps aboard military bases, and the establishment of a militarized police state control grid in the United States.
Here is the corresponding excerpt, and you can watch the film in its entirety here.
The American public has been lead to believe that FEMA is an agency for disaster relief operations. However, the document addressed in America Under Siege, U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Operations manual FM 41-30, which can no longer be accessed as it has been expunged from online databases [here is its sister document FM 41-10], tells a much different story about FEMA.
U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Operations manual FM 41-30. DESTRUCTION NOTICE: Destroy by any method that will prevent disclosure of contents or reconstruction of the document.
After you get past this manual's destruction notice to prevent disclosure of its contents, it says that FEMA is the executive agency that serves as the point of contact for the United States Government, for emergency management within the United States.
Under Executive Order 12148―Federal emergency management of July 20, 1979, the president transferred all functions from the Civil Defense and Civil Preparedness agencies under the Department of Defense over to FEMA. According to FM 41-30, FEMA is the command-and-control agency for all emergency planning. However, with 96% of their budget, FEMA has built prisons around the country. And they have also built massive underground facilities called Deep Underground Military Bases (DUMB sites).
Executive Order 12919, the National Defense Industrial Resources Preparedness bill, signed by President Bill Clinton on June 3, 1993, granted presidential authority under a 1950's defense production act, delegating to the Secretaries of Defense, Agriculture, Treasury, and Commerce, the power to seize all civilian property for the government, solely by declaring them necessary for "national defense." This Executive Order also gave the director of FEMA the authority to implement FEMA plans during a national emergency.
The United States has effectively been in a perpetual declared state of emergency since the Federal Emergency Act was enacted in 1933, which was the beginning of FEMA and which also unlawfully granted the office of the United States presidency the unconstitutional authority to issue Executive Orders. My article on the subversion of the balance of power from August 15, 2014, details how the Department of Justice was formed after the Civil War to administer the Martial Law directives of the Executive Branch within the military districts of the United States via Executive Orders and other National Security Decision Directives of the office of the president.
This has never changed, and has only increased in perpetuity.
Several military manuals regarding domestic support and civil disturbance operations, speak directly of FEMA as the implementing (command-and-control) agency for a plan known as Readiness Exercise 1984 (Rex-84), the plan to detain American citizen resistors in prison camps. Operation Cable Splicer and Garden Plot are the two sub programs which will be implemented once the Rex-84 program is initiated for its proper purpose. Garden Plot is the program to control the population. Cable Splicer is the program for an orderly takeover of the state and local governments by the federal government. FEMA is the executive arm and will head-up all operations. The Presidential Executive Orders listed on the Federal Register (the unclassified ones that we know of) are part of the legal framework for this operation. Here is the list of those EOs.
Garden Plot, otherwise known as United States Civil Disturbance Plan 55-2, is to provide Federal military and law enforcement assistance to local governments during times of major civil disturbances. The operation states that "If any civil disturbance by a resistance group, religious organization, or other persons considered to be non-conformist takes place," under Appendix 3 to Annex B of Plan 55-2 hereby "gives all Federal forces total power over the situation if local and state authorities cannot put down said dissenters." Annex A, section B of Operation Garden Plot defines tax protesters, militia groups, religious cults, and general anti-government dissenters as "Disruptive Elements." This calls for the use of deadly force to be used against any "extremist" or "dissident" perpetrating any and all forms of civil disorder.
"Oversight of these homeland security missions should be provided by the National Guard Bureau based on the long-standing Garden Plot model in which National Guard units are trained and equipped to support civil authorities in crowd control and civil disturbance missions." — Major General Richard C. Alexander, ARNGUS (Ret.), Executive Director, National Guard Association of the United States, Testimony in the Senate Appropriations Committee Hearing on Homeland Defense, April 11, 2003
Rex-84, then known to the intelligence community as the TS program, was established under the pretext of a "mass exodus" of illegal aliens crossing the Mexican/U.S. border during the Iran-Contra hearings in 1987. However, it was revealed that the program was a classified "scenario and drill" developed by the United States federal government to suspend the United States Constitution, declare martial law, place military commanders in charge of state and local governments, and detain large numbers of American citizens who are deemed to be "national security threats", in the event that the president declares a "State of National Emergency."
This plan was written by Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North, who was both National Security Council White House Aide and NSC liaison to FEMA, and John Brinkerhoff, the deputy director of "national preparedness" programs for FEMA. They patterned the plan on a 1970 report written by FEMA chief Louis Giuffrida at the Army War College, which proposed the detention of up to 21 million "American Negroes" if there was a black militant uprising in the United States. For more on this, see the archived Miami Herald article from July 5, 1987, entitled Reagan Aides and the Secret Government.
The testimony of Larry Grathwohl also needs to come into play here. A U.S. Army veteran and an FBI informant during the 1970's, Grathwohl is best known as the informant who infiltrated the socialist Weather Underground—an extreme faction of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS)—a radical leftist political organization in the United States who were behind the infamous "Days of Rage" terrorist attacks and bombings. Grathwohl's exploits were documented in the 1976 book, Bringing Down America, where he exposed the inner workings of the Weather Underground and the personal activities of many of its members, including Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Mark Rudd, David Gilbert, Brian Flanagan, and Naomi Jaffe.
Most alarming was Larry Grathwohl's recollection in an interview from the 1982 documentary No Place To Hide that recently surfaced. In the film, Larry Grathwohl discussed what the Weathermen intended to do after overthrowing the U.S. government, including what they would do with those American resistors who refused to embrace socialism. Here is a video excerpt of the interview. Watch the full-length documentary here.
From the interview:
"I asked, 'Well what is going to happen to those people we can’t re-educate, that are diehard capitalists?' And the reply was that they’d have to be eliminated. And when I pursued this further, they estimated they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these re-education centers.
And when I say 'eliminate,' I mean 'kill.'
Twenty-five million people.
I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees from Columbia and other well-known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people.
And they were dead serious."
It is of course no secret anymore that Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn are long-time friends and associates of the Obamas , and their close working relationship has been traced all the way back to their community organizing days in Chicago.
In the December 2003 issue of Cigar Aficionado, the former commander of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), warned:
"If terrorists succeeded in using a weapon of mass destruction against the U.S. or one of our allies, it would likely have catastrophic consequences for our cherished republican form of government."
Cigar Aficionado's lead-in paragraph was even starker:
"Gen. Tommy Franks says that if the United States is hit with a weapon of mass destruction that inflicts large casualties, the Constitution will likely be discarded in favor of a military form of government."
The original purpose and perceived places of refuge in the event of a severe national crisis, were merely a ruse, the window-dressing to cover for the funding of a clandestine plan to build a nationwide apparatus of internment camps to house American citizens who have no intention of going along with the plan.
DOCUMENTATION CONFIRMING CONCENTRATION CAMPS IN AMERICA
Here is the official supporting documentation:
◙ Internment and Resettlement Operations (FM 3-39.40), a leaked U.S. Army manual, outlines policies for processing detainees into internment camps both globally and inside the United States.
◙ In 2009, the National Guard posted a number of job opportunities looking for Internment/Resettlement Specialists (31-E) to work in "civilian internee camps" within the United States.
◙ Also in 2009, the National Emergency Centers Act (H.R. 645), was introduced in Congress. It mandates the establishment of "national emergency centers" to be located on military installations for the purpose of providing "temporary housing, medical, and humanitarian assistance to individuals and families dislocated due to an emergency or major disaster," according to the bill. In addition to emergencies, this legislation is designed to "meet other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security," an open-ended mandate which could mean just about anything they want it to mean, including the forced detention of American citizens in the event of widespread rioting after a national emergency or total economic collapse.
◙ In December of 2011 it was also revealed that Halliburton subsidiary KBR was seeking sub-contractors to staff and outfit "emergency environment" camps located in five regions of the United States.
◙ In 2006, KBR was contracted by Homeland Security for $385 million to build detention centers designed to deal with "an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S," or the rapid development of unspecified "new programs" that would require large numbers of people to be interned.
◙ Soon after KBR’s announcement, a little-known Army document surfaced, entitled Civilian Inmate Labor Program. The unclassified document describes in detail Army Regulation 210-35, first drafted in 1997, which underwent a "rapid act revision" in January of 2005 and now provides a policy for the creation of labor programs and prison camps on Army installations.
◙ Congressman W.G. "Bill" Hefner's (D-NC) wrote a now infamous letter to Zell Setzer of Setzer Insurance and Associates, Salisbury, NC, on March 24, 1997, regarding information "pertaining to the Army's policy and guidance for establishing civilian inmate labor program and civilian prison camps on Army installations." Congressman Hefner confirmed to Mr. Setzer that "the program has been funded, staffed, and does not reflect current Army policy," denoting a future agenda.
◙ Under the indefinite detention provision of the National Defense Authorization Act, which was signed by Barack Obama on New Year’s Eve of 2011, American citizens can be kidnapped and detained indefinitely without charge or trial. The Guardian, a London paper, called it an "historic assault on American liberty." Forbes called the NDAA the "greatest threat to civil liberties Americans face."
Remember that it has already been implemented before in this country. President President Franklin D. Roosevelt authorized the internment of 120,000 Japanese Americans with Executive Order 9066, issued on February 19, 1942, shortly after Imperial Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. This edict allowed local U.S. military commanders to designate "military areas" and the executive power was used to declare that all people of Japanese ancestry were excluded from the entire West Coast of the United States of America under the guise of national security.
Considering all of this codifying official documentation, on Tuesday, Feb. 4th of this year, Justice Antonin Scalia gave a statement saying that the U.S. Supreme Court will authorize the use of WWII-style internment camps again in America.
"You are kidding yourself if you think the same thing will not happen again," Scalia told the University of Hawaii law school while discussing Korematsu v. United States, the ruling in which the court gave its imprimatur to the internment camps.
The local Associated Press report quoted Scalia as using a Latin phrase that means "in times of war, the laws fall silent," to explain why the court erred in that decision and will do so again.
"That's what was going on—the panic about the war and the invasion of the Pacific and whatnot," Scalia said. "That's what happens. It was wrong, but I would not be surprised to see it happen again, in time of war. It's no justification but it is the reality."
Indeed it is.
THE MURDER CAPITAL OF AMERICA AND GUN CONTROL
According to the FBI, the city of Chicago is the murder capital of America. Police Superintendent of Chicago, Garry McCarthy, recently said, "Law-abiding gun owners are corrupt, and they endanger public safety." His understanding of a well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, barely qualifies him to be a meter maid, let alone the highest-ranking officer of the nation's third largest police force.
Superintendent McCarthy made this statement, even though Chicago’s violent crime rate has dropped in the wake of the first conceal carry permits being issued in Illinois. Here is the empirical academic study—one of many such studies—showing that gun control does not work, and never has.
Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, a group dedicated to the preservation of gun rights in the United States, have also compiled a chart detailing government-sponsored genocide programs after passing sweeping gun control measures.
When corrupt, lawless politicians and police try to disarm their constituents, the crime and murder rates skyrocket, and a system of tyrannical police state crisis-response is at the very heart of the agenda. It is not at all to keep us safe. It is to seize more power for the State. The evidence and the historical precedent are irrefutable.
Isn't it interesting that many of the current social engineers who vex our nation with their utopic socialist agendas, including victim disarmament, cut their teeth in Chicago?
MILITARY COMMANDERS FINALLY GOING PUBLIC
In March of 2013 I published retired U.S. Army Captain Terry M. Hestilow's March 23, 2013 letter to Texas Senator John Cornyn, concerning the arming of the Department of Homeland Security in preparation to go to war with the citizens of the United States. He was one of the first American military command level officers to go public on a national scale. In this same post, I covered U.S. Army Major General Jerry Curry's August 2012 op-ed piece, Who Does The Government Intend To Shoot?, in which he addressed federal purchases of enough ammunition to conduct a 7-year Iraq war by federal agencies that operate only domestically and have no foreign war-making jurisdiction.
In this article, Maj. Gen. Curry, a decorated combat veteran, Army Aviator, Paratrooper, and Ranger, observed:
"The Social Security Administration (SSA) confirms that it is purchasing 174 thousand rounds of hollow point bullets to be delivered to 41 locations in major cities across the U.S. No one has yet said what the purpose of these purchases is, though we are led to believe that they will be used only in an emergency to counteract and control civil unrest. Those against whom the hollow-point bullets are to be used—those causing the civil unrest—must be American citizens; since the SSA has never been used overseas to help foreign countries maintain control of their citizens."
Keep in mind that hollow-point bullets are banned by the Geneva Convention and are unlawful on the field of battle internationally. They enter small and exit big, and are designed for one specific thing, to maim and kill. Our United States military and NATO troops do not use hollow-points, but only ball rounds.
Later in his article, Major General Curry wrote:
"Obama is a deadly serious, persistent man. Once he focuses on an object, he pursues it to the end. What is his focus here? All of these rounds of ammunition can only be used to kill American citizens, though there is enough ammunition being ordered to kill, in addition to every American citizen, also every Iranian, Syrian or Mexican. There is simply too much of it. And this much ammunition can’t be just for training, there aren’t that many weapons and 'shooters' in the U.S. to fire it."
Retired U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major Dan Page, the senior enlisted advisor to the commanding officer of AFRICOM before his retirement, recently confirmed the complicity of our government in a plan that is underway now to engineer a "new order of nations" and merge America into a world totalitarian socialist government. In a broadcast interview conducted by Rick Wiles of TruNews, Sgt. Maj. Page detailed how the United States of America has been targeted for a controlled economic and sociological takedown, and that we are currently in the final stages of the operation.
That is why Marine Corps four-star General James "Mad Dog" Mattis, retired Commander of U.S. Central Command, brazenly gave an open warning to the traitors perpetrating this plan:
"Do not cross us. Because if you do, the survivors in Washington will write about what we did for a thousand years."
Most recently, Lieutenant General Tom McInerney (USAF, Ret.), former Assistant Vice Chief of Staff, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C., stated that our national defense should currently be set at Defense Condition (DEFCON) 1, the highest state of readiness. But alas, we are at present on stand-down, even though allied NATO governments are raising their national threat levels to 'severe.'
On Tuesday, September 2nd, Lt. Gen. McInerney and former U.S. Army General Paul Vallely conducted a round table discussion with Rick Wiles of TruNews, re-emphasizing why America's military readiness must immediately go to DEFCON 1, and that a constitutional crisis is quickly approaching which may require the U.S. military to take action domestically to save the Republic. I strongly urge you to listen to the 1-hour audio broadcast of the discussion here.
DOMESTIC SURVEILLANCE
Bill Binney, the high-level executive of the National Security Agency who created the agency’s mass surveillance program for digital information, is a 32-year NSA veteran widely regarded as a "legend" within the intelligence community. Binney was the senior technical director within the agency and managed thousands of NSA employees.
In 2012, Binney held his thumb and forefinger close together, and told Wired:
"We are, like, that far from a turnkey totalitarian state."
Later, in late 2013, Binney told Washington’s Blog that the U.S. had already become a police state. By way of background, the government has long been spying on virtually everything we do.
Security expert Bruce Schneier confirmed Binney's statement on October 1, 2013, saying candidly:
"Honestly, I think the details matter less and less. We have to assume that the NSA has everyone who uses electronic communications under constant surveillance."
These revelations, including the classified documents released by Edward Snowden, especially the NSA's classified April 2013 PowerPoint deck entitled PRISM/US-984XN Overview, confirm beyond any shadow of a doubt that yes it can happen in America and it is happening right under our nose.
ARPANET AND THE GLOBAL AWAKENING
This has been a very long-term agenda, and we are only now seeing the veil being fully lifted that once concealed the agenda behind the iron curtain of "national security." The accessibility of sensitive information via the world wide web has been the undoing of the Insiders (as Gary Allen called them), who initially designed a Department of Defense wide-area packet switching network in the 1960's called ARPANET, the progenitor of the Internet and precursor to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). As Zbigniew K. Brzezinski, former U.S. National Security Adviser, rightly forewarned his brethren in the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) round table group in Montreal in 2010, giving them a presentation discussing world government and his fears of the mass global awakening that has taken place, "For the first time in all of human history, mankind is politically awakened."
Yes, we are indeed.
Brzezinski also wrote in his book Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era, (New York, NY: Viking Press, 1970):
"The technotronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities...
In the technotronic society the trend would seem to be towards the aggregation of the individual support of millions of uncoordinated citizens, easily within the reach of magnetic and attractive personalities exploiting the latest communications techniques to manipulate emotions and control reason."
To top that off, Zbigniew Brzezinski said in a speech at a CFR dinner in Montreal on May 6, 2009:
"In earlier times, it was easier to control a million people than physically to kill a million people. Today it is infinitely easier to kill a million people than to control a million people."
Who exactly are the Council on Foreign Relations?
"Most of the people who run the government are members of the Council on Foreign Relations." — Robert W. Tucker and David C. Hendrickson, The Imperial Temptation: The New World Order and America's Purpose, July 1, 1992, published by the Council on Foreign Relations/NYU Press
And what are they capable of?
"The leaders of America's new secret society, the Council on Foreign Relations, engineered the great crash of 1929." — William T. Still, The New World Order: The Ancient Plan of Secret Societies, January 1, 1990, Lafayette, Louisiana, Huntington House Publishers, p. 158.
People like Brzezinski are acutely aware that America as a majority will not willingly enter into these life-altering concepts; that we will have to be forced through crisis-initiation.
ORWELLIAN PREDICTION
Whatever your thoughts are on George Orwell, there is no question that he accurately predicted what life would be like in 2014 America. Whether or not he was acutely aware of human nature, or if he was privy to the plan by his circle of highly-degreed elite sources, there is no denying that he forecasted the infrastructure which is presently being erected to supposedly protect the public from the constantly-changing and ever-expanding definition of an enemy.
Winston Smith, portrayed by actor John Hurt, in the film adaptation of George Orwell's 1984
In Orwell's own words:
"Threats to freedom of speech, writing and action, though often trivial in isolation, are cumulative in their effect and, unless checked, lead to a general disrespect for the rights of the citizen." — George Orwell, In Front of Your Nose, 1945-1950 (Collected Essays, Journalism and Letters), Edited by Sonia Orwell and Ian Angus, (David R. Godine Publishers, Boston, MA, October 1, 2000), p. 447.
"The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power . . . Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power." — George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty-Four, (Secker and Warburg, London, June 8, 1949), pp. 275-276.
"War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength." — Ibid., p. 6.
PRISON-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX
Alisa Zinov'yevna Rosenbaum (also known as Ayn Rand) also correctly predicted the dystopic prison-industrial complex we now find ourselves in. In her book Atlas Shrugged, (Random House, New York, NY: October 10, 1957), she wrote:
"We're after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you'd better get wise to it. There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them . . . you create a nation of law-breakers—and then you cash in on guilt. Now, that's the system, Mr. Rearden, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with."
That is the reason the big banks (like Wells Fargo, Wachovia, Bank of America and HSBC) which own the largest private prison corporations, were caught shipping tonnages of drugs into the United States and laundering billions worth of Mexican drug cartel money through their various branches. That's why a CIA rendition plane that crashed-landed in the Yucatan peninsula on April 10, 2006 while flying into the United States, had 4 tons of cocaine aboard to be distributed in Southern California.
Those who stand to benefit the most from both sides of the outcome are almost always the same who initiated the problem. And now, according to the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), 6,977,700 adults were under correctional supervision in 2011. And most of those are on non-violent drug-related charges.
When you consider all of this, look around you at the American people going about their business to and fro. Where is the outrage? Where is the response? Its business as usual for the majority, but I assure you that as these revelations continue to be unveiled—when the back of America is finally pushed against a wall and we are forced to collectively respond—it will be Ferguson on a nation-wide scale. It will be the LA riots from Dutch Harbor to Eastport.
Deep down, no sane person really wants that kind of nation-wide chaos. But alas, that is an inherent element of our carnal sin nature, to focus the brunt of our collective rage on an otherwise innocent target population. And image of Reginald Denny comes to mind. It is sadly inevitable, unless we turn things around before it hits the fan.
THE FINAL NAIL IN THE COFFIN
In closing, I would like to include an excerpt from a very poignant and timely written commentary by John W. Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute from August 26th, 2014:
"No matter what your perspective on the showdown between locals and law enforcement in Ferguson, Missouri, there can be no disputing the fact that 'local' police should not be looking or acting like branches of the military.
Unfortunately, in the police state that is America today, we’re going to find ourselves revisiting Ferguson over and over again. Every time an unarmed citizen gets shot by a police officer who is armed to the hilt, or inclined to shoot first and ask questions later, or so concerned about their own safety, to the exclusion of all else, that everything becomes a potential threat, we’ll find ourselves back in Ferguson territory again.
Here’s the thing, though: whether or not it ever gets reported, whether it incites any protests or marches or showdowns of epic proportions, whether it elicits any outrage on the part of the citizenry, Ferguson is already happening over and over again, all around us.
It’s happening in small towns and big cities alike every time a citizen gets stopped and frisked for no better reason than they 'look' suspicious. It’s happening on the nation’s highways and byways, where corporate greed disguised as road safety is making a hefty profit off of drivers who have the misfortune of passing a red light camera or a speed camera or a license plate reader. It’s happening in the privately run jails, which are teeming with prisoners doing time for nonviolent crimes that should have landed them with a slap on the wrist and a fine instead of hard time and forced labor.
It’s happening in our airports and train stations and shopping malls, where menacing squads of black-garbed, jack-booted, up-armored soldiers disguised as law enforcement officials are subjecting Americans to roving security checkpoints, allegedly in the pursuit of terrorists. And it’s happening in the schools, where the school-to-prison pipeline is fully operational and busy churning out newly minted citizens of the American police state who have been taught the hard way what it means to comply and march in lockstep with the government’s dictates."
WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?
Okay, we have well established the problems. Let's talk about solutions; the antidote; the cure. I have been focusing more on the solutions to all of this lately, and have come up with a few that I think are poignant and worth considering. A very important solution is to wake-up and alert the enforcement mechanism—the military and police, the muscle, the teeth. We need to educate them in the truth, that they are being used as a sword to cut-off the resistance to tyranny. And we need to appeal to their sense of honor and courage and patriotism. Let them know that you've got their back if—it is a big IF—they have yours.
Thomas Jefferson once suggested the motto for the Great Seal of the United States:
"Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God."
Jefferson was right, because though he was a gnostic and a deist, he had read the Scriptures and understood their inherent truths. James 2:10 says, "For whosoever shall keep the whole law and transgress in one point only has nevertheless transgressed the whole law."
Romans chapter 13 commands us to "let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil . . . if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil."
Juxtaposed with the dire warnings given to the lawless and rebellious, a promise of blessing and peace is given to the just in Isaiah chapter 54:
"Afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted, I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with lapis lazuli. I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones. All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace. In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you."
Its not about race or religion or other historically divisional ideologies. Its about keeping the law, submitting to the higher powers that are ordained of God. Its about the restoration and active defense of our Creator-endowed, constitutionally-protected rights. Its about embracing goodness, virtue, honor, principle and righteousness. At the end of the day its about attaining the only real Freedom which is under the banner of God's universal law.
The Almighty God who created the heavens and the earth commands His followers to always speak truth, and to confront and fight against evil in every case whatsoever, in whichever way it manifests.
I think that once we all understand that and what's truly at stake here on earth and in eternity, we'll be much better off and much more difficult to "deal with" by the workers of iniquity.
Considering this volume of information and putting it through the "common sense test" of Ockham's Razor, if we adopt the hypothesis supported by the most facts and the fewest assumptions, what is the logical conclusion to be drawn? It's time to stop reacting based on our emotional belief systems, and time to start analyzing it all with mindsets based in truth, logic and reason. For we shall know the truth, and the truth shall make us free.
Electing a new president or congressmen won't solve anything, because there is no political solution for our spiritual problem. It is a bottom-up effort; it starts with you being the change you want to see in the world. Then you have an influence on your children, your family and circle of close friends. Then, you and your family and friends can influence your neighbors, your neighborhood, your community, town, city, county, state, nation, continent, and the world, in that order.
With that said, what evidence has a top-down initiative shown you to be fruitful? We are still inexorably heading in the same direction—straight to the bottom—no matter who is voted into political office. Why is that? Because our leadership reflects the spiritual and moral standing of the citizenry, not the other way around.
Like I've said before, throughout history, the world has never been changed by a committee. It was always only ever changed—at least in the beginning—by one person. It always started with you, and it always will.
The problem isn't out there somewhere. It's not in the Middle East or Russia or Ukraine or Syria or Iraq. Its not in the lofty marble halls of our branches of government. It is inside. And once we deal with the root of the problem inside each of us, then the fruit of the solution will be borne. For by our fruit we shall be known.
If you haven't done it yet, go into the bathroom, close the door, and look into the mirror. The problem will be staring back at you. And so will the solution to it all.
